Hebrews 12
(Heb 12: 1) There are countless these witnesses
[1] There are countless these witnesses that surround us like a cloud. Strip off Therefore, any unnecessary burden, especially the chains of sin, to run to the final test lies ahead,
(CIC 2683) The witnesses who have preceded us in the United (cf. Heb 12, 1), especially those whom the Church recognizes as saints, share in the living tradition of prayer by the testimony of his life, the transmission of his writings and his sentence today. They contemplate God, praise him and constantly care for those left on earth. By entering into the joy " of their Lord, they were "about how much" (cf. Mt 25, 21). Their intercession is their most exalted service to God's plan. We can and should ask them to intercede for us and the world. (CIC 2684) In the communion of saints, there were several different spirituality throughout the history of the Church. The personal charisma of a witness to the love of God to men, can be transmitted to his disciples to partake of the spirit (cf. 2R 2, 9), as occurred with the "spirit" of Elijah to Elisha (cf. Lk 1 , 17) and John the Baptist (cf. Perfectae Caritatis, 2). At the confluence of liturgical and theological currents is also a spirituality that shows how the ignorance prayerful faith in a human environment and its history. The various Christian spirituality share in the living tradition of prayer and are essential guides for the faithful. In their rich diversity, and only reflect the pure light of the Holy Spirit. "The Spirit is truly the place of the saints and the Holy Spirit is for our own place, and offered to live with God and his temple is called" (San Basilio, Liber de Spiritu Sancto , 26, 62 : PG 32, 184).
