Hb 11, 7 By faith Noah was proved right

(Hb 11, 7) Por la fe Noé fue proved right

[7] By faith Noah heard the announcement of events that could not anticipate, and built an ark to save himself was to his family. Noah's faith condemning his contemporaries, and she was proved right, which is the fruit of faith.

(CIC 56) Once broken the unity of mankind for the sin God from the beginning to save humanity through a series of stages. The covenant with Noah after the flood (cf. Gn 9, 9) expresses the principle of divine economy toward the "nations", ie men grouped "In their lands, each according to his tongue, after their families" (Gn 10, 5, cf. 10, 20-31). (CIC 57) This order at once cosmic, social and religious plurality of the nations (cf. Acts 17.26-27) is intended to limit the pride of fallen humanity, united in its perversity (cf. Sb 10.5), I would do for its own unity in the manner of Babel (cf. Gen 11.4-6). But because of sin (cf. Rom 1:18-25), polytheism and idolatry of the nation and its leader are a constant threat of paganism for this economy is not yet final. (CCC 58) The covenant with Noah remains in force during the time of nations (cf. Lk 21:24), until the universal proclamation of the Gospel. The Bible venerates several great figures among the Gentiles: Abel the just, the priest-king Melchizedek (cf. Gen. 14:18), a figure of Christ (cf. Heb 7.3), or the righteous "Noah , Daniel and Job "(Ez 14:14). Thus, the Scripture expresses the heights of sanctity that can reach those who are in the covenant of Noah, waiting for Christ to "gather into one all the dispersed children of God" (Jn 11:52). (CIC 71) God made with Noah an eternal covenant between Him and all living beings (cf. Gen 9.16). This alliance will last as long as the world lasts.
